HRC is working with a well-known firm of Chartered Accountants, based in Glasgow, who are offering an exciting opportunity to an experienced, Qualified Accountant, to join the firm as Audit & Accounts Assistant Manager.

You will take ownership of a large, varied portfolio of clients and hold responsibility for audit and accounts staff. Working closely with the Directors, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate a strong awareness of client care and continuous improvement whilst playing an integral role at management level.

What will the day to day look like?

• Overseeing a portfolio of audit and accounts clients whilst proactively identifying, researching and resolving issues as they arise

• Preparing year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities

• Leading and supervising junior team members in the 'fieldwork' stage of larger audits

• Delegating workflow, reviewing work and providing proactive training to junior team members

• Ensuring all compliance requirements are met and maintained

• Providing clients with advice on day-to-day accounting transactions and appropriate accounting treatment

• Maintaining relevant knowledge of best practice and processes across finance and accounting functions for UK businesses across a variety of sectors

• Ensuring ongoing awareness of fee targets and level of work in progress

Are you who we are looking for?

• ACCA/ICAS/ACA Qualified or equivalent

• Have 4 year's previous audit/accountancy experience

• Have experience of preparing accounts under FRS102

• Experience of leading or supporting a team
