We are looking for an experienced Senior Associate - Tax & Finance to join our tax & finance team in Pakistan. The ideal candidate will have a track record as a significant individual contributor as well as a strong team player - comfortable working as a leader, supporting a team, and working closely with the management teams to drive strategic initiatives forward across the region.
Responsibilities:
Assist Manager Tax in preparation of Monthly Reports. Assist Manager Tax in the preparation of Transfer Pricing documentation. Assessment of input tax on monthly basis. Responsible for monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annual tax filing and reporting for Pakistan. Responsible for the preparation of data required by the tax consultants regarding tax notices. Recording entries pertaining to the taxation in the accounting software. Summarize and analyze financial data pertaining to taxation. Co-ordinate with external tax authorities and consultants locally and regionally. Responsible for internal tax related inquiries. Assist Procurement team regarding tax implications.
Requirements:
ACCA, CA (inter), ICMA or equivalent professional qualification in Finance. 5 years of experience or more in corporate tax accounting (having required experience in any big retail chain/e-commerce will be preferred) including prior experience in the Tax department of Big 4 accounting firms. Possess strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations in Pakistan. Possess knowledge of international tax & transfer pricing. Proficient in MS Excel. Must have accounting software experience (SAP HANA experienced would be preferable) Experience in fast-paced, high-growth startup/technology environments will be an advantage. Adaptable and collaborative, able to work with diverse groups of people at all levels in multiple countries. Excellent communication and influencing skills, with fluency in English.
