Job Description :
• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations within the company and able to prepare accounts payroll, invoicing and other transactions
• Prepare the quarterly announcement according to Bursa Listing Requirement and present the Financial Reports to the Board of Director Meeting
• Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants
• Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
• Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
• Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
• Research and analyse financial reports and market trends
• Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
• Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
• Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings
• Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
• reviewing annual area budget estimates with department HODs and exercising expenditure control within approved budgets
• preparing and /or reviewing the capital budget and five year capital projects for the division
• Responsible for supporting the strategic development of the Company's long term
financial plan and all financial and business planning services
• Ensure the organization is in full compliance with all relevant legislation and Company administrative policies
• Provide guidance and support for organization wide change management initiatives
• Maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Ensures an effective and inclusive system for internal communication exists between staff and management
• Keep abreast of trends and developments in technology and financial
operations, in addition to recommending new and innovative approaches to enhance the performance of the Company
• Responsible and ensure all accounting procedure and reporting systems in accordance with Statutory Financial Reporting are well maintained in an accurate and timely manner
• Review and interpret monthly and yearly management reports including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements as well as preparing consolidation in group level
• Review monthly bank reconciliation, approve payment voucher and maintain integrity of cash balance and monitor cash flow position to ensure effective cash resources to meet financial obligation on a timely basis
• Liaise with auditor, tax agents, banks and others statutory bodies for relevant reports and submission required by regulatory requirement and law
• Other duties as required by the Company from time to time
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree / Professional Degree in
Finance/Accountancy and professional certification - ACCA/ICMA and MIA
or the equivalent
- Possess high degree of integrity and confidentiality, excellent leadership skills and good team player
- Think out of box, independent, strong numerical and analytical skills,
efficient, meticulous and result oriented
- Excellent business acumen and proactive with good leadership management
- Able to meet urgent deadlines
- Familiar with Bursa Malaysia and Securities Commission laws, ruling and requirement
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting firm of major corporations
- Team player with good communication skills (both written and spoken) and ability to work independently while liaising with colleagues across business
units or countries within the Group.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin.
- Embody the organization culture and aligns and support of organization vision and mission
- Demonstrates ability to build relationships and work well with peers from both business and technology stakeholders and interact effectively with internal and external parties
- Ability to plan and prioritize work / projects within the team
- Willing to work long hours to complete the urgent/important tasks
- Able to start work immediately
