JOP PURPOSE
- To assist the Group Finance Manager in the management of the operation and integrity of the Accounts and Finance Department, in particular monthly reporting, internal controls and compliances, auditing, taxation and treasury function.
- To ensure the company complies with Company Act, GST Act/SST Act, Income Tax Act, and any other statutory obligation and meets the respective filing deadline.
- To assist in the management of the operation and integrity of the Accounts and Finance Department, in particular monthly reporting, auditing, taxation and treasury function.
- Assist in the management of accounting, auditing, taxation and treasury functions for the Company.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and management reports for GFM and directors review in accurate & timely manner.
- Review and verify monthly management accounts and reports prepared by accounts personnel.
- Plan and prepare company cash flows forecast for GFM and Finance Director review.
- Work closely with the team to resolve any finance related matters.
- To prepare and update Company policies and procedures, and compliance to internal control and relevent laws and regulations.
- Ensure the department's practices comply with the company's policy and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements and proper accounting records are kept.
- Assist in reviewing, formulating and implementing existing or new standard operation procedures and work instructions to enhance efficiency and internal control.
- Enhance standard operating procedures/policies to identify hidden risk or non-compliance;
- Assist in ERP system implementation and process improvement for accounts department.
- To prepare the budget and reporting the performance of Company vs budget.
- Prepare of financial budget.
- Support the team in analyzing financial data, reconciliations, gathering historical information, internal controls, budgetary controls and variance analysis
- Analyzing the actual results and compare with the budget, providing explanation for the variances.
- Compilation of the action plans to be taken to meet the budget.
- To review and update the costing system and ensure the costing results are accurate.
- Propose and review costing method and system.
- Coordinate with relevant personnel to compute accurate product costing in Excel or the Company's applicable software system (Autocount/ ERP).
- Review and ensure the updates of cost drivers and standard costs are accurate.
- Review and ensure the update of price list for sales department are accurate.
- Review the quote for sales department for custom made products or special products.
- Review and ensure the updates of monthly sales margin analysis are accurate.
- To review and ensure the external and internal audits, tax and secretarial matters are properly undertaken and administered.
- Compliance with relevant accounting standards, taxation principles, authority, regulatory, and licensing requirements.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as bankers, auditors, tax agent, company secretaries, regulatory authorities and professional advisors on related matters when necessary.
- Review tax computation prepared by tax agent, work with tax agent on related tax incentives and tax issues.
- Ensure all relevant supporting audit and tax disclosures and workings are properly prepared.
- Assist GFM in tax planning to achieve tax efficiency.
- Prepare and gather transfer pricing required information.
- To prepare Group Financial consodilation in accurate and timely manner.
- Prepare the consolidation of inter-co balance and transaction.
- Ensure the inter-co balance and transaction are match with each other.
- Prepare the reconciliation of the unmatched inter-co amount.
- Prepare the unrealized gain/loss for inter-co.
- Prepare the consolidation elimination and monthly consolidation.
- To develop and build team capability for supporting the continuous organizational growth.
- Develop human capital by providing coaching on soft skills & technical training.
- Manage, supervise and motive finance team member to ensure positive work performance.
- Develop and coach employees with emphasis on building a competent and highly collaborative team.
- Assess the own and team development gaps and establish appropriate development plan.
- Monitor the employee's development progress and comply with the company training procedures.
- Support team meetings at which progress against KPIs is monitored and discussed.
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent/ACCA/CPA/CIMA
- At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field or in manufacturing industry or audit firm is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
- Knowledge and Skill(s): Good Knowledge on Accounting principles or tax, Good knowledge on costing concept and cost analysis, Good knowledge on internal controls and compliance with laws and regulations, Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, Meticulous attention to detail with organizational skills, Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, Able to manage, supervise and motivate finance team member to ensure positive work performance, Demonstrate positive work attitude, team player and able to work independently, Excellent report-writing and communication.
