Senior Accountant

Please note that this position is based in our Malaysia, Selangor office.
Responsibilities

Responsible for the preparation of all AP & AR activities, inter-company and bank reconciliation.
Responsible for the financial reporting of monthly, quarterly and year end closing.
Prepare journals for expense accrual and prepayment amortization.
Maintain fixed assets records.
Perform daily reconciliation of sales receipts.
Responsible for weekly cashflow report.
Responsible for vendor balance confirmation and reconciliation.
Preparation of audit packages and assist in audit and tax issues.
Assist to prepare indirect tax returns.
Ensure the timely and accurate administration.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
Start-up role - thus must be very willing to be hands-on and independent
Excellent computer skills in MS office especially Excel and good working knowledge of accounting software and other management systems
Ability to converse in both English and BM
Dedicated, well-organised, meticulous, analytical and proactive in resolving issues
Possess good organizational and coordination skills, including communication and interpersonal skills
Strict adherence to timelines and policies while taking on multiple tasks
A good team player as the need to work with people from different levels
Positive mindset to take up new challenges
