Description
The Business Manager is responsible for performing budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of financial results that support major corporate decisions of the Finance Director and Brand General Managers. This position will have access to a range of confidential information and so will require the personal characteristics of discretion and integrity.

Ensures Customer and Market Growth
Budgeting
- Allocate Corporate Indirect Cost Centre Expenses - e.g. Finance, Distribution, General Management
- Prepare & submit detailed Profit &Loss to the CPM system, including other KPI submission - e.g. door count
- Prepare a capital budget submission plan
Actuals
- Report on significant variances to latest estimates, budget, and/or prior year.
- Identify and forecast trends and their impact
- Analyse monthly, year to date and year to go reports on significant cost areas as required to ensure corporate rules are applied - e.g. Demo, Samples, Testers, GWPs
Estimates
- Provide detailed projections of subsequent months & year-end financial results each month in required format using excel and Oracle interface - includes sales, cost of sales & all operating expenses
- Coordinate detailed P/L submission to CPM system of projected year-end results on a monthly or quarterly basis - provide Brand with corporate data, COGS information, analyse & review for reasonableness
- Prepare quarterly capital expenditure submission
Manages Operational Effectiveness
Financial Accounting/Reporting
- Prepare & submit monthly P&Ls to New York
- Prepare & present monthly Accounts Package in IBP meetings
- Review key Balance Sheet general ledger accounts reconciliations on a monthly basis - ensure accruals are adequate, prepayments are accurate
