Current Opportunity

This is an exciting career opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager to join our Brisbane team providing Audit expertise to our Motor Dealership clients. BDO is the leading provider of professional services to the retail automotive industry. Working from the Brisbane office you will be exposed to dealership clients across the eastern seaboard ranging from listed companies to privately owned groups. The role requires a strong focus on client relationships and adding value through the audit process.

Key responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintain strong relationships with Firms' clients, Partners, staff and other external stakeholder
  • Providing guidance and expertise to team members and ensure audit procedures are followed in accordance with the Firm's Audit methodology
  • Leading teams to complete audit engagements for our clients
  • Development of Audit strategies that appropriately identify key Audit risks
  • Ensuring all key deliverables are met
What you'll need to succeed:
  • CA/CPA qualification with 4 + years professional services audit experience
  • Audit experience gained in a large or mid-tier professional services firm
  • Experience in reviewing statutory accounts, including listed entities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that enable results to be communicated concisely to external stakeholders
  • Ability to identify scope and solve problems
  • Experience in leading and developing teams
  • Knowledge and understanding of Australian reporting requirements especially AIFRS Accounting, current auditing and tax legislation and Corporation Act, ASIC and ASX requirements
  • Experience in the preparation and presentation of consolidated financial reports;
  • Ability to build excellent client relationships, with a strong track record of delivering high quality outcomes

Starting salary between $90,000 - $150,000 inclusive of super, depending on level of experience.
