The Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) is seeking to appoint a Director, Assurance and Reporting who will support the department in growing our state's economy and ensuring it benefits all Victorians through identifying and facilitating improvements in the implementation and delivery of high priority projects and programs.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Delivery Centre, this role will lead a high-performing and collaborative team that will help establish a continuous improvement culture across the department to improve project and program delivery performance. The role will oversee the development and implementation of a monitoring and reporting capability, the establishment of robust assurance processes and the identification and take up of better practice approaches to project and program delivery. The position will also oversee the development of a data collection and analytical capability that will support high-quality strategic advice about project selection, delivery and project outcomes.

An inspiring, collaborative, and experienced leader, you will have a deep understanding of government priorities and objectives in the context of project delivery principles and challenges, as well as a deep understanding of project management and operations.

In this position you will forge strategic relationships across all levels of government, with research organisations, and with key industry and community stakeholders to drive a continuous improvement approach to managing projects across the department to achieve high quality outcomes. The position will provide advice, reports, submissions, briefing papers, and correspondence to the Executive Director, Executive Board, Associate Secretary, Secretary, and Ministers.

A strong track record in leading and motivating teams, responding and adapting to change, and highly developed stakeholder management skills will help you succeed in this role.

The Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) is one of the key state government departments involved with the delivery of significant government programs in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are currently recruiting to the Director, Project Delivery within the department's Delivery Centre, however similar opportunities may arise across the department in the near future.
