The opportunity

We are looking for a Business Analyst/Tester with experience in business analysis and testing of data and reporting to join us at Senior Consultant level.

EY DnA is the data and advanced analytics capability within EY Asia-Pacific, with over 500 specialist employees working across multiple industry sectors.

We implement information-driven strategies and systems that help grow, optimize and protect client organizations.

We go beyond strategy and provide end to end implementation of real-life data environments and have some of the best architects, project managers, business analysts, data scientists, big data engineers, developers and consultants in the region.

Your key responsibilities
  • Supporting design, build and test phases of delivery
  • Perform data and report centric business and technical analysis of the current systems
  • Gather and document business and technical requirements for new data and reporting solution
  • Facilitate workshops with multiple stakeholders
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews
  • Translate functional and non-functional requirements into accurate user stories and process flows
  • Perform data profiling, data analysis and support data quality treatment plans
  • Ensure that requirements are traceable from requirements to solution design
  • Work with members of the project team to develop and execute test cases to ensure full coverage to all requirements

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have
  • Significant experience in business analysis and testing of data and reporting business requirements
  • Solid experience in the gathering and development of user requirements
  • Experience in conducting interviews, workshops and analysis of existing systems / reports
  • Solid experience in data profiling and data quality treatment plans
  • Solid experience in using SQL to extract and analyse datasets
  • Solid experience in development of test cases, test scripts and test reporting
  • Extensive experience in test execution
  • Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain security clearance - due to the nature of this role, this is essential

Ideally, you'll also have
  • Test automation experience
  • Exposure to (one or more) Teradata, DataStage, PowerBI, Azure, Cognos, SAP BW, Hadoop technologies
  • Industry experience in government data solutions

The preferred applicant will be subject to employment screening by EY or by their external third-party provider. Regarding this role, the minimum salary is $90,000 including 9.5% superannuation.
