The Position:

The position of GDO & IT Finance Expense Analyst is a new position within the European Expense Management Team, which is part of the centralised European Finance Department split over our Glasgow / Greenock sites. This role will be a Work From Home (WFH) position and will report to the GDO & IT Financial Controller, who in turn reports to the Manager of the European Expense Management Team.

Role Summary
  • Provide controllership responsibilities for the Global Delivery Office (GDO) and International Markets IT with a focus on European Global Segments.
  • Provide financial reporting and analytics for business partners to ensure cost effectiveness of the organisation.
  • Support the monthly close process, including analysis of actual results and re-forecasted outlook, working closely with & overseeing our outsourced resource at Genpact
  • Support IT program and project managers by evaluating financial progress and results to determine improvements needed to meet ultimate objectives within budget.
  • Develop and administer risk management processes and other department process enhancements to improve the efficiency of the close process and reporting effectiveness.
  • Be the "Go-To Finance" person for the GIH IT & GDO leadership team.
  • Collaborate with Business Managers and Regional Controllers to improve time tracking and allocation of expenses to proper regions
  • Enhance quarterly forecasting of expenses, recharges, and allocations with a view to improving the quality of forecasting and reporting of actuals.


Responsibilities
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and reporting for baseline budgets and portfolio project investments.
  • Communicate results effectively throughout IT, GDO and Finance organisations
  • Work closely with the team and business partners to ensure full transparency of results and sound advice and consultation to the IT, GDO and Finance organisations.
  • Drive monthly financial close processes including analysis of cash, accruals, and capitalisation entries.
  • Analyse Statement of works; track spending against deliverables; record accruals accordingly.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)
  • Five or more years of financial analysis or related experience
  • IT finance experience strongly preferred
  • Expense control experience preferred
