About the opportunity:

Our Finance Transformation Team helps Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) to re-envision the role of the finance function to align with the overall company strategy. In Ireland, we are seeking high achieving individuals for our growing practice. We are now seeking to recruit an experienced financial reporting accountant with a strong background in the preparation of financial accounts. Experience in the life science or healthcare space an advantage.

This role will form part of our Finance Transformation Team, where you will combine your finance capability with programme and change management expertise to implement and embed improvements and deliver sustainable value. You will work to deliver finance transformation projects in one or more of the following areas:

  • Finance strategy development and Finance Target Operating Model design
  • Benchmarking finance to understand how the function and its operation perform against industry best practice
  • Optimisation of the finance function through enhanced processes, people and technology – providing a finance function of the future
  • Planning and managing of projects to time and budget
  • Enhancing Business Performance Management that includes financial reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting and key management reporting
  • Finance transformation enabled by technology including ERP implementation support, data analytics and intelligent automation implementations for finance organisations

About you:

  • Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA with a minimum of 3-5 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE)
  • Significant experience in the preparation of financial accounts;
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to professional and client service excellence
  • The ability to develop good working relationships is critical
  • Initiative and pro-active approach with an ability to effectively balance a number of deliverables

Core experience:

  • Experience in the preparation of financial accounts
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles
  • High level of Microsoft Office Excel proficiency
  • Strong numeracy skills with focus on attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Manufacturing Accounting experience desirable
  • Multinational pharmaceutical experience a plus

Other experience

  • Prior consulting experience in finance transformation or
  • Worked on large scale finance transformation projects in industry or
  • Worked in a finance team or finance shared service team in industry with an understanding of finance function operations
  • Project of change management experience is preferable (PRINCE2 or Lean qualifications an advantage)
  • Strong data analysis skills – advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Business Intelligence tools an advantage
