A leading and growing firm of chartered accountants based in Kent is searching for a Regional Tax Manager or Director to join their team to lead and develop the firms successful tax department.You will have genuine potential to progress within an influential role,delivering wide ranging tax advice to a mixed portfolio of clients.This position can be either a mixed tax opportunity or personal tax focused,based on experience.

Based in Kent, this chartered accountancy practice is a leading and growth focused business who deal with wide ranging SMEs/OMBs and growing businesses, focusing on clients looking to grow where they offer advice around planning and growth strategies. The firm acts for wide ranging individuals, HNWIs, directors and other clients on the personal tax side.

This position can be either a mixed tax or a private client tax focused opportunity, subject to the skills and interests of the candidate. You will manage a well established and highly reputable tax team where there will be an excellent opportunity to progress to partnership.

The position will be moulded around the individual and will be either personal tax or mixed tax focused but overseeing the whole tax function and responsible for the efficiency of the team as well as the growth of the department.

Description

Joining as Regional Tax Manager or Director, based in the firms offices in Kent, alongside managing the tax team and the delivery of a quality compliance service, you will focus on delivering wide ranging tax advice to the firms clients, focused on personal or mixed tax, dependent on experience.

On the personal tax side, you will work on wide ranging tax planning and advisory work with examples across capital tax planning, IHT, trusts, wills, property related tax advice and tax implications and planning for succession for example.

On the corporate tax side, you will have involvement in mergers, sales and acquisitions tax advice, company reorganisations, R&D and other areas of corporate tax planning.

You will look to grow and develop the firms tax department, managing the team. There will be a clear progression path on offer as well for the right individual seeking a route to carve a career path and progress in their tax career.

Profile

You will be any of ATT/CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified with a career background in tax compliance and advisory/planning tax, gained within an accounting firm, or tax boutique firm of any size.

Ideally you will bring either mixed tax or personal tax technical skills across advisory work. You may also bring a wider accountancy / mixed general practice background within your career, or equally may have focused entirely within the taxation sector throughout your career.

You will have developed your career to at least Manager levels and be looking for the right career move where you can lead and develop a growing tax team and department with a clear path to progress, along with looking to focus on advisory project work and deliver solutions to clients.

Job Offer
