FIBA Europe consists of 50 national member federations of FIBA assigned to it by FIBA.__________________________________________________________________________Head of Finance Europe will ensure the correct processing of the financial accounting and will support the deliver of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.This role reports directly to the FIBA Europe Secretary General/Executive Director, leading a team of two.The successful candidate will be able to draw on comprehensive knowledge of accounting fundamentals as well as strong leadership skills in order to effectively manage the demands of our international sports organization.Key ResponsibilitiesAdministration of the FIBA Europe accounting and financesSupport the monthly, quarterly and year end closings and ensure the results are delivered on time and to a high level of quality (e. g. HGB)Preparation and maintenance of the business accounts (such as balance sheets and P&L-accounts, etc.)Entering accounts receivable and payable, general ledger accounts and other accounts into the finance accounting system (SAP Business One)Oversee the treasury management including all banking operations and making general recommendations in this fieldPrepare and/or review tax/VAT returns as per German legislationDrive finance digitalisation to create scalable, automated solutions across our SAP B 1- and other IT SystemsLead process development projectsFinancial Reporting and Controlling internally and to FIBA HeadquarterPrepare various management reports, analysis and comments for FIBA Headquarter and ManagementElaboration of monthly and quarterly management reports with variances analysisMonthly cash reports and cash forecast analysisPrepare forecast figures, budget reports and analysis and load data into budgeting systemPreparation of presentations for budget- and finance related meetingsIntercompany accounting and reconciliationContact person for the Finance Commission, Tax consultant and auditorsCoordination of the Finance Commission and communication with the Treasurer of FIBA EuropePreparation of the finance commission meetings (agenda, working papers, reports, etc.)Presentation of the finances of FIBA Europe to the Finance Commission membersClose cooperation with our tax consultantPrepare statutory reports and liaise with our external auditorsHuman ResourcesCoordination of employee's salary administration in cooperation with an external payroll providerGeneral advice to staff and management of personal filesVariousContact person to National Basketball Federations and clubs in all financial mattersCorrespondence and contacts with the public authorities (tax office, employment office, etc.)Preparation and supervision of all insurance related matters together with our brokerSupervision/archives of all contracts Experience and skills requiredMaster's degree in Finance or equivalent with minimum 5 years' qualified experienceHands-on senior manager with at least 5 years of experience in a matrix and international environmentGood knowledge of German Association lawAbility to interact with business and operation managersGood experience with finance IT systems and process improvementsAbility to work with numerous tasks and to work under time pressureGood communication skillsHard worker, hands-on, precise, organized and taking initiativeFluent written/spoken German and English.
