The Senior Accountant manages all aspects of month end close, prepares journal entries, completes account reconciliations, prepares sales & use tax returns, assists in internal and external audits, and provides variance analysis as requested. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Americas Controller.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for timely completion of Month-end process for Woodlands HQ
- Responsible for balance sheet account reconciliations of Woodlands HQ
- Assist with Tax binders and property tax filings & Sales and Use Tax.
- Prepare & Coordinate Payroll entries across Americas locations.
- Prepare Monthly Bank Reconciliations
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Prepare intercompany reconciliations and follow up on allocations to related entities.
- Financial Variance Analysis upon request.
- Prepare monthly journal entries for upload.
- Upload month-end results to HFM and ensure accuracy of data in HFM.
- Coordinate and control general Expenditure Requests and Capital Expenditure Requests.
- Assist with external and internal audit requests.
- Extract reports from ERP systems.
- Other duties as required
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum of five years' experience in Financial Accounting.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and promptly with all levels of the organization, both written and verbal.
- Technology savvy. Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Hyperion Enterprise and Analyzer a plus.
- Experience with ERP implementations a plus.
- Demonstrate ability to analyze and interpret financial data and operating problems in order to make recommendations to management.
- Demonstrate ability to perform accurately while meeting tight deadlines and giving highest attention to detail.
