Position Summary
  • Assist with the transition of restricted projects.Train the new Sr. Contract and Grant Administrator on the post-award restrictedaccounting side of contract and grant management. Work with the Sr. Contractand Grant Administrator to monitor revenue and expenses for the College ofPopulation Health's (COPH) restricted accounts; ensure expenditure control andcompliance with state and federal funding and reporting requirements,university policy, and standard accounting procedures.
  • Work with the Sr. Contract and GrantAdministrator to analyze, reconcile, balance, and maintain accounting recordsfor post-award restricted accounts. Analyze and review budgets andexpenditures. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports foraccuracy and completeness; prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, andpayroll entries, invoices, and other accounting transactions. Analyze revenueand expenditure trends, recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensureexpenditure control. Review restricted and unrestricted Chrome River requestsfor proper documentation to support request and either returns for additionalback-up documentation or approves based on information provided(reimbursements, purchases, p-card allocations).
  • Work with the Sr. Contract and GrantAdministrator on restricted indices for close-outs in Banner.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and successful completion of at least 12 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
