We are hiring for a position in Wells Fargo India & Philippines. We are a critical component of the Wells Fargo strategy to leverage distinct advantages of a global environment. Currently we are 24000+ strong team members with 3 locations (Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad) in India and 1 center in Manila. Wells Fargo Audit Services (WFAS) is a provider of independent, objective and advisory services delivered through a highly professional and diverse team.
The primary function of WFAS is to determine if the company's risk management, systems of control, and governance processes are adequate and functioning as intended. As a business partner, WFAS makes significant contributions to protecting the value of Wells Fargo's corporate assets. WFAS is organized into individual audit teams, each led by an Executive Audit Director (EAD).
These teams include Community Banking & Operations, Consumer Lending Group, Corporate Risk, Enterprise Technology Audit Group, Finance & Corporate Activities, Financial Crimes Audit Team, Strategy & Operations, Wealth and Investment Management, and Wholesale Banking. Working together, we reduce risk to protect our customers, our team members, and our communities to enhance shareholder value. . WFAS interacts with the entire corporation; this specific team will initially be accountable for India and the Philippines. Going forward the team will increase its responsibility to include other offshore locations.

About the Role
- Audit Director

Internal Audit conducts audits and reports the results of our work to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. We provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services delivered through a highly competent and diverse team. As a business partner, Audit helps the Company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

Required Experience
18+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following audit or risk functions: leading teams covering risk identification, mitigation and management (includes audit, legal, operational risk, compliance risk, credit risk, market risk, technology risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for risk)
  • 6+ years of management experience
  • Solid understanding of Institution of Internal Audit (IIA) standards, regulatory requirements, and industry guidelines.
  • Strong understanding of running the operations of Internal Audit or Risk organization.
  • Certification in one or more of the following: CPA, CIA, or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation.
  • BS/BA degree or higher

India & Philippines team partners with lines of business across Wells Fargo to understand their overall objectives and identify opportunities to leverage global talent and capabilities within their business model. The team provides end-to-end analysis of business operations, including people, processes and tools, and develops solutions in collaboration with business partners. India & Philippines team supports over 60% of Wells Fargo's business lines and staff functions, providing ongoing service delivery for technology, operations, customer interactions and knowledge services functions. The team members are located across the US and at our Global In-House Centers (GICs) in India and the Philippines, and they partner with Third Party Service Providers (3PSP) from around the world.
The Director will oversee day-to-day operations of the local audit team in executing risk-based and high quality audit coverage. They will provide guidance and oversight to ensure audits are well planned, executed, and reported in accordance with Internal Audit's methodology. They will also be accountable for management of issues to ensure timely resolution. They will be required to work across all Internal Audit teams and with senior level leaders within Internal Audit and our business lines building strong relationships. The Director will also be expected to lead team members providing feedback, coaching, and development guidance.

The Employee, as a Wells Fargo team member, is accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
