Description

Position summary

As an Accountant Analyst you will deliver services as part of an Accounting team in the area of Record to Report. You will perform end to end activities for the financial controllers' organization within Cargill and will be involved in budget and allocations, expenses and reconciliations.

Your strong accounting, analytical and communication skills will allow you to contribute to selected functional groups, countries and business units in the best way possible.

* As the Record to Report department is growing we are hiring Accountant Analysts with French for a new team. Some travel is to be expected within 2020.

Major Tasks

  • You will provide accounting services for selected processes and countries.
  • You will work on various tasks such as - accounting for administrative expenses, assisting in payment processing, coordinating month-end general ledger closing, preparing balance sheet reconciliations and providing P&L analysis.
  • You will act as a primary point of contact.
  • You will participate in process improvement projects and will have to ensure that all financial processes are performed accurately and on time.
  • You will enjoy helping others develop by sharing your knowledge with new team members and less experienced colleagues.
  • You will be responsible for financial reporting, operational and improvement activities.
  • You will be handling ad-hoc requests in a timely manner.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • 2-3 years of experience in finance operation with good expertise in Record to Report group and related Finance processes.
  • Experience with working in shared service operations would be preferred.
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Self-starter with good MS-office skills.
  • Strong team player and ability to handle tasks under pressure and in a timely manner with required quality.
  • Working knowledge of ERP (JDE/SAP) would be preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate commitment to internal control
