Assistant Finance Business Partner (Fleet)
Field based covering the South
Salary £28,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience and level of qualification) per annum + £4,200 car allowance + benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for a part qualified / qualified accountant to join our finance team as an Assistant Finance Business Partner here at ReddeNorthgate. This role will be to work with within our fleet repair network. ReddeNorthgate was formed in early 2020 following a successful merger to become the UK's foremost integrated mobility solutions provider.
Role Overview
The primary objective of the Assistant Finance Business Partner is to provide high quality data and pro-active insight and analysis across the fleet repair function, providing robust financial insight to enable informed decision making within the senior repair services team.
Finance Business Partners are the link between finance and the business, providing business advice, decision support, cost control and performance analysis. They own the functional cost and revenue budget and periodic forecasts. This is a varied and fast paced role, where ad hoc analysis forms a significant proportion of workload, and the ability to support, influence and challenge the decision-making process within the operations team is an essential attribute.
The role is field based covering multiple operational territories and a degree of travel is expected in order to attend functional meetings across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the annual and periodic forecasting process for the Fleet Repair function, including the allocation to individual locations.
* Review the available operational reports daily, draw out the key risks and opportunities and partner with the territory management team to ensure that these are acted upon.
* Ensure all reports contain relevant insight and commentary.
* Work with the central reporting function to ensure that reporting is fit for purpose and any new insight requirements are developed and productionised.
* Provide guidance and support to enable the territory management teams to maximise revenue and control costs.
* Identify and deliver opportunities that deliver material changes in business performance, promoting continuous improvement.
* Present monthly functional and overall business performance updates to territory management, with a robust level of challenge.
* Monitor transactional volumes at a location level to ensure that staffing levels are driving the optimum level of cost efficiency.
* Ownership and accountability for the accuracy of the monthly operating statement and production of KPI reporting
* Act as the territory query escalation contact for KPI's, local P&L's, bonus and labour.
* Provide commercial support to the Fleet Repair Services Finance Business Partner as required.
* Conduct ad-hoc project work as required
Person Specification
Essential:
* AAT qualification or actively studying CIMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification
* Experience in a management accounting or commercial analyst role.
* Strong analytics skills.
* Can work under pressure within subjected timeframes.
* Stakeholder influencing and management
* Proven history of providing value adding insight
* Advanced Excel and Powerpoint
* Ability to handle detail while understanding the big picture
Desirable:
* Previous experience of providing financial support to a multi-site operations function.
* Knowledge of fleet services, including fleet repair.
* Proven experience of interpreting large data sets and providing insight.
