Contracts and Finance Manager

We are excited to be recruiting for new talent to join our growing team - Contracts and Finance Manager.This position will manage and oversee the accounting and finance functions at our Corporate Headquarters.

Day-to-Day Job Responsibilities:

• Supervises the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll procedures of the Company to ensure accuracy of accounts
• Develops accounting policies, procedures, and practices
• Ensures compliance with general accounting principles, federal, state, and local regulations
• Review/approve employee expense authorizations
• Review/approve employee expense report submissions
• Performs accounts receivable functions involving tracing sources of error, correcting billing records, processing final billings, reconciling errors, accuracy of charges on customer's bills, investigating, granting, and controlling credit, and in collecting accounts due, maintenance of accounts receivable ledger, and adjustment of customer claims
• Manages time collection system and processes
• Oversees Company payroll
• Ensures the accurate calculation of wages, tax withholding, and company deductions
• Prepares reports on employee pay including commission and bonuses, paid time off, and taxes and withholdings
• Maintains accurate financial records
• Manages Accounts Payable system and processes
• Assists with credit card processing and reconciliation
• Verifies items billed against items ordered and received
• Reconciles differences through follow-up with the vendor and/or other employees
• Enters and updates accounting data in an automated system
• Posts financial data to appropriate accounts
• Responsible for general accounting functions such as tax filings, monthly close processes, and audit support

To qualify for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent number of years of accounting experience, and 5 years of accounting experience supporting a government contractor. Proficient Deltek CostPoint user experience is required.
