DESCRIPTION
Amazon India's Consumer Insights, Planning, Analysis and Technology team (IPAT) provides a unique vantage point into everything happening within Amazon India. Our team provides strategic support to the India CFO and senior leadership on enterprise-wide planning, analysis & insights and reporting.
We are looking for a highly analytical self-starter to join us as a Senior Finance Analyst (SFA), driving the Insights and Technology charter within the team. The candidate should be a critical partner in driving financial automation work streams across planning/ reporting and parity with WW FP&A teams on tools and processes. The candidate will provide timely, relevant insights, create financial models and scenario planning, collaborate with fin-tech stakeholders and also contribute to key planning deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
• Formulation and Project Management of an IPAT automation charter to drive high impact projects and initiatives
• Lead a team of Business Analysts to generate data insights that help leadership decision making
• Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, sensitivity analysis and variance analysis with little guidance, draw conclusions and make recommendations • Benchmark IN vs. other geos on FP&A Tech parity and partner with teams to expedite the adoption of recommended tools
• Continuously enhance the short- and mid- and long term planning processes, through process improvement and automation
• Use active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• CA/ MBA from a reputed B-school with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience, across FP&A, corporate finance and business finance
• Results-oriented, highly energetic, dynamic individual with hands-on mentality
• Advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture
• Demonstrated experience of driving projects with data engineers and tech teams
• Strong financial modelling skills for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving
• Demonstrated experience of successfully driving complex projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong interpersonal skills emphasizing written and oral communication
• Industry experience in e-commerce, distribution, retail a plus
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, Tableau, Cognos, BI) is a strong plus
• Advanced Excel and analysis skills
