Accountant - Immediate Term Role

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, to recruit an Accountant based in Winnipeg, MB, for a temporary opportunity starting as soon as possible.

The Role:

• Prepare financial reports and statements
• Prepare month-end reporting
• Journal entries
• Balance sheet reconciliation, resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare corporate tax returns and variance analysis reports
• Produces a variety of ad-hoc reporting. Assists in the preparation of reports for external reporting requirements (GST, PST, etc.)
• Assist with auditing processes as required

The Ideal Candidate:

• Completion of post-secondary Accounting Diploma / Degree is required
• Two plus years of working experience in an Accounting position including payroll preferably
• Enrolment in the CPA program would be an asset
• Excellent Excel skills with macros experience, along with working knowledge of GP Dynamics is an asset
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment with tight deadlines
