Financial Accountant

You will be given the opportunity to be involved in the planning and production of the annual year accounts. The candidate will also be the first point of contact for auditors alongside the financial controller.

Client Details

Our client manages around 8,000 affordable homes, primarily in eight boroughs in north and east London, with many more in development. These homes are made up of a mix of affordable tenures and they provide housing for people nominated from local authority waiting lists, specialised accommodation for Key Workers and Shared Ownership homes to help people take their first step on the property ladder. Working in partnership with a charity, our client also provides housing for people with a wide range of support and care needs.

Description

The successful candidate will:

• Plan and execute the year-end accounts in a large and dynamic team
• Accounting for government capital grants on balance sheets in the monthly accounts in accordance to GAAP accounting policies.
• Ad-hoc support for the deputy financial controller and financial controller where necessary.
• Lead on liaising with auditors and responding to directives from audit

Profile

The successful candidate:

• The client requests they will only consider applicants with Housing Association experience
• A CCAB qualification or equivalent
• Experience with statutory accounts and year-end accounting
• Understanding of the necessity for financial and system controls
• FRS 102 reporting experience desirable

Job Offer

250-300/day rate.
