Accountant GL Expert

To support our mission, Eureka, based in Brussels (Etterbeek), is looking for a Accountant GL Expert. General ledger, cash flow actuals and liquidity management Continuous updating fixed assets register Co-approval outgoing payments Analytical accounting (project/programmes management) and reporting Quarterly, yearly financial report and closing support Reconciling monthly general ledger & bank accounts Assistance during statutory audits Preparation of annual accounts (BNB), internal & external reporting, tax reporting included Handling all VAT matters and all tax declarations Helping AP/AR Accountant in busy periods (back-up) Further development of ERP system Responsible for the records of financial documents Responsible for the corporate credit card management Responsible for timesheets management, reporting and follow-up Provide overall assistance in accounting and financial matters Experience with financial reporting, preparation of periodic and annual reports as well as knowledge of Belgian generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) an advantage; A good level of English and French or Dutch (written and spoken) is essential, other languages are an asset; Strong analytical skills; Strong organizational skills, including time-management and able to work in an autonomous way; Knowledge of or experience with European Commission financial regulations/procedures would be an advantage; Ability to take the lead in implementing new systems and optimising accounting processes and workflows; Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications, especially of Excel and an ERP system. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is an advantage. Education and experience A level of higher education that corresponds to completed post-secondary education of at least 3 years attested by a diploma (Bachelor's degree) and relevant professional experience of at least three years.
