FINANCIAL ANALYST, FP&A - flexible working
Pear Talent is representing an FS business who have an excellent opportunity for an FP&A Analyst reporting to the Head of FP&A. This team provides critical business performance insight, business partnering and financial planning support to the FD and Board, directly influencing the company's strategic decision making.
The role is extremely varied in terms of its activities, reflecting the need to rapidly respond to market developments and business unit initiatives. You'll be expected to be able to quickly gain credibility with senior stakeholders and own key business relationships, as well as demonstrate first class project management and communication skills. Work is often ad-hoc and project based.

Key accountabilities:
- Understand the markets in which the business operates, strategies, risks, products and key drivers of performance.
- Produce analysis of financial performance, MI, forecasts and contribute to regular monthly reporting to the Board/Exec.
- Drive and challenge the inputs to forecast, budget and 5 year planning processes, acting as a bridge between the business and Finance.
- Provide commercial support on Insurance strategy and project workstreams.
- Assist the CFO & Strategy Director on specific projects.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business, helping to facilitate regular dialogue between Finance and the business leadership.
- Support Investor Relations, responding to analyst/investor queries and assisting in the production of external presentations of results.
- Dealing with ad-hoc requests and special projects as they arise.
Required experience:
- 2:1 degree and part or newly qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
- Experience in a similar Finance Analyst, Management Accounting, FP&A role within Financial Services.
- Strong Excel skills, financial modelling advantageous
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while keeping attention to detail
- Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects at one time
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
