Compliance Intern (6 Months Internship)

The Compliance Intern works alongside the compliance department in supporting the business growth of iSTOX in a manner that's compliant with the regulations governing the company. To be successful in this role, you must have a sound judgement of the regulatory risks inherent in the iSTOX's business and be able to provide sound advice to business to mitigate or address the risks. Additionally, you should be able to suggest compliance controls to be implemented and carry them out in an effective manner.
Assist the compliance department for the following functions

• Development of the compliance obligation register and risk assessment for the company
• Development of the compliance control testing plan for the company
• Performance of compliance testing for the compliance risk areas identified
• Implementation of compliance controls for new business activities
• Any other tasks as may be directed by the Head of Department

Requirements

• Finance or Accounting related degree preferred. Degrees in other disciplines may be considered
• Knowledge of financial markets and products
• Good understanding of risk management
• Able to commit full-time for minimum 6 months or more starting from May or June 2021

Good to Have

• Knowledge of business Mandarin for communicating with China office regarding compliance related matters
