TEAM UP WITH US!

Are you looking to begin a successful and meaningful career in public accounting? If so, Armanino's Summer Leadership Program, ASCEND, is the perfect place to get started!

Please note:
  • You will be considered for both the ASCEND and 2022 internship in the same interview process.
  • The 2021 ASCEND Summer Leadership Program will be held virtually.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE

We're excited to introduce the new ASCEND program, which is a week-long program that will highlight our firm culture and provide you with the opportunity to explore various service lines, learn more about our Internal Mobility program, and discuss trends with some of Armanino's most innovative practitioners. The main focus of our ASCEND program will be service line case studies where you will receive hands-on experience doing work that our professionals do on a daily basis. You will have the opportunity to participate in any of the case studies for Audit, Consulting, Risk Assurance & Advisory Service (RAAS), and Tax.

When you you submit your application, it will be for the 2021 ASCEND Summer Leadership Program + 2022 Winter/Summer RAAS Internship. At the conclusion of ASCEND, you will confirm that your desired service line is RAAS (or you can let us know if you would like to intern in another service line) and you will confirm your internship season (winter or summer 2022).

During your 2022 internship, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside professionals at all levels (associate to partner), who will provide insight into the field of public accounting. In the first week of the internship, you'll experience New Employee Orientation (NEO), service line-specific training, and introductions to your mentor team (intern Buddy and Performance Coach). Selected Fridays of your internship, you will get together with your intern group to participate in cross-functional or professional development training, followed by a social event with colleagues.

Your internship will provide you with the same exposure to Armanino as our associate level hires, while participating in interactive and engaging programming!

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Gain real-world exposure to financial and IT audits, reviews, compilations and projects
  • Learn the client's platform structure, security and software
  • Learn the client's system and control environment and how it impacts their associated customer users
  • Learn the client's non-IT related controls including general controls (e.g. hiring controls) and transactional controls (e.g. processing controls such as reconciliations)
  • Learn to evaluate process risks, develop tests for key controls, write audit reports and determine effectiveness of controls
  • Work as an individual contributor and as part of a team to support client engagements
  • Develop administrative, professional and interpersonal skills to the extent of being able to organize, analyze and communicate with others in a productive and efficient manner
  • Experience the Armanino culture first hand while working side by side with professionals from all levels of the firm (Staff, Senior, Manager and Partner)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's or Certificate Program in one of the following: Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information Systems or equivalent
  • Final graduation date between December 2022 and August 2023 strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point)
