The Role We currently have an exciting opportunity for an IT Software Applications Trainer to join our team. Reporting to the IT Manager, this full - time position is based in Athlone and the person will be responsible for key training initiatives and the development and support of internal software applications, including: Working closely with IT, HR and Training Champions to identify training needs for individuals, teams and the firm and co-ordinate the delivery of training to staff. Develop and deliver training programmes for all staff in the use of all desktop programmes such as Microsoft Office and other relevant office software. Contribute to the Firms overall training strategy and actively attend and contribute to the Training Champions Meetings. Develop training strategy specific to IT applications. Implementation of the Firm's IT security & communication policies and data protection policies. Working with the engineering team to ensure that Software applications & databases are updated to version releases. Making the best use of technology available to support training in all offices utilising video conferencing facilities, online learning applications etc. Engaging with the wider industry as a source of knowledge and learning. Key applications / databases Document workflow management & Data Protection Practice Management - practice engine Microsoft suite - Word / Excel / Powerpoint etc. Accounts / Audit production packages Tax Applications - Alpha Tax, TaxPro, ROS Web Applications - ROS etc. HR systems Co Sec systems Key Attributes Required Bachelors degree in IT / Business related discipline A minimum of 2 years experience in an applications training role Training experience & qualification would be advantageous Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Motivation, energy and enthusiasm are key attributes to drive this role and achieve engagement from teams Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies as they are required.
