AUDIT ASSISTANT
KPMG in Jamaica is expanding its Montego Bay Audit (KATE) practice and is seeking to hire talented, highly motivated Audit professionals who can work within a structured client service process and a proven risk-management methodology on the KATE team.
This opportunity offers significant growth potential and career development and secondment opportunites. The KATE team provides audit services to KPMG in Cayman and Bermuda, and works exclusively on financial services clients.
THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION
Finalizing students at recognised Universities with the required GPA are invited to apply
The ideal candidate has no more than two years' experience after graduating from University.
The successful candidates will have some or all of the following characteristics:
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or ACCA Level I.
* Minimum GPA score of 3.3 from a recognized university.
* Minimum Grade II in CXC English Language or equivalent
* Willingness to aggressively work towards the ACCA or CPA qualification.
* Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel;
* Strong interpersonal, report writing and communication skills.
* Flexible and willing to travel;
* Proficiency in English, both written and spoken;
* Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to adapt to a multi-cultural experience;
Special conditions associated with the job:
* Required to work beyond normal working hours, when necessary
* May be required to work in other parishes for short stints.
* Exposure to confidential information.
* High level of integrity and confidentiality is required.
* Required to work to set deadlines.
Candidates who reside in the Montego Bay environs and have experience with audit methodologies and procedures in a Big 4 Audit firm will have a distinct advantage.
