This role is a part of Futures Execution Technology. The role will manage complex global trade flows and functionality that include elements of order management, FIX, risk management etc. This would involve everything from incorporating new functionality in the existing ecosystem to analysing new requirements, compliance to regulatory and control requirements, documenting solutions, coordinating implementation with vendors and testing systems to ensure that they are fit for purpose. The role requires to work regularly work with a range of high-profile stakeholders and vendors. So, should have strong interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder expectations, excellent problem solving skills to develop solutions and good organization skills to ensure delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

You would be responsible for analysing project issues, producing project artefacts (such as Business Requirement and Test Strategy documentation) and driving the implementation of the defined solution. You would work on multiple projects simultaneously and carry out Project Management activities. Your responsibilities would include
  • Understanding business priorities, documenting requirements and determining solutions in partnership with the vendors/internal teams
  • Working hands-on with vendor systems to ensure the trading platform is up to date with the latest offerings
  • Developing and maintaining the project plan either independently or in collaboration with team members
  • Tracking and maintaining Change Request documentation to ensure that all additional requirements are traceable
  • Identifying and communicating key project risks, defining mitigation strategies and managing resolution
  • Identifying and communicating inter-project dependencies to stakeholders and other project team members
  • Collaborating with global partners to manage infrastructure and software dependencies
  • Organizing and delivering functional presentations in stakeholder meetings
  • Liaising with Operations and Front Office staff to ensure that required project artefacts are collated
  • Liaising with Technology staff to ensure that requirements are understood and that functional and design proposals are fit for purpose
  • Liaising with Compliance, Risk & Controls functions to ensure adherence to electronic trading regulatory and internal controls requirements
  • Identifying and communicating inter-project dependencies to stakeholders and other project team members
  • Ensuring that materials developed can be re-used
  • Liaising with e-Trading project members globally to achieve consistent, best-in-class documentation standards
  • Leading peer reviews and inspections of requirement documents
  • Assist in the production of business cases, ensuring that all projects have a viable business proposition

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Strong understanding F&O products and processes

This role forms part of a major global program and as such requires other, broader responsibilities and requisite skills:
  • Inter-regional responsibilities - e.g. responsible for delivering projects for stakeholders in all regions
  • Collaboration with the business at a senior level - this program has detailed Director level interaction with the business on a daily basis as our business partners go through a process of discovery about the detail of the design and implementation
  • Collaboration with global partners - e.g. manage the dependencies on other IT groups, e.g. Infrastructure and Equities technology
  • Direct responsibility for relationships with external suppliers and vendors - this project is delivered in large part via a multi-million-dollar contract with a vendor
