SGUnited Traineeship: Global Treasury - Fixed Income Syndicate Trainee (8 months)

Job Description

Support Fixed Income Syndicate desk in the syndication and distribution of the initial offering of new issue bonds in both public primary market and private placement transactions.

Responsibilities

- The Syndicate process includes but is not limited to the pricing of bonds, providing market updates to bonds issuers, advisory and live deal management, order book building and execution, and roadshow facilitation.
- Assist with monitoring of new issue markets across SGD, USD, HKD and CNH currencies, and associated market analysis. Keeping abreast of all market news, secondary market flows, movements and development that impact broader market sentiment in particular FIxed Income related matters.
- Analyse the credit worthiness, maturity profiles and funding requirements of various companies that are accessing the primary market for bonds.
- Provide regular written & verbal market updates to both internal stakeholders (Syndicate team, Capital Markets and Sales Teams) and external clients (issuers and investors). Qualifications

- Trainees with finance, accounting, financial engineering, computer science and related disciplines are preferred.
- Keen interest in financial markets and the Debt Capital Markets business
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic understanding of financial products (particularly bonds)
- Basic credit / accounting skills
