Treasury Accountant

Michael Page Treasury are working with an excellent, forward-thinking business who are looking for a new Treasury Accountant.

Client Details

Our client is a well know brand, with revenues in excess of £4bn last year.

Description

• Contribution into process and system improvements.

• Preparation of monthly management reporting information for treasury to provide insight on key treasury financial metrics.

• Develop knowledge of the group accounting, treasury and risk policy and the procedures to monitor compliance with these.

• Preparation of treasury journals and balance sheet reconciliations to a high standard. This includes hedge accounting and effectiveness testing in accordance with IAS39.

• Keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards and understanding the impact of these changes on Treasury e.g. IFRS 13 and IFRS 9

• Budgeting and forecasting of interest and hedging P&L.

• Providing accurate and timely reporting to front office to assist in trading activity.

Profile

• Professional Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

• Passed or studying for AMCT qualification

• Treasury middle office experience is desirable, specifically, familiarity with FX and Commodity hedging and associated accounting implications

• Graduate with strong academic record

• Ability to challenge the current processes and to drive change

• Ability to communicate clearly

• Strong numeric and excel skills, with attention to detail

• Strong organisational and time management skills

Job Offer

The salary on offer is c. £60-70k plus bonus and benefits.
