Vanguard has an exciting opportunity for a Reporting & Quality Assurance Project Manager in our Internal Audit Professional Practices (PP) team. Our PP team enables Internal Audit to complete its mission by providing services related to assurance and advisory efforts (e.g., methodology, reporting), people (e.g., talent management, training & development), and operations (e.g., technology, communications) and by being solution–focused, skilled in our field, and invested in each other's success. Day to day you will manage a range of Internal Audit reporting and quality assurance projects requiring reporting and data analysis skills, audit and risk management knowledge, and project management skills. Additionally, you'll be afforded the opportunity to assist with preparation and delivery of data and reporting to Vanguard's board and audit committee, as well as the board and committees of its various subsidiaries.In this role you will: Develop and manage reporting and management information/data analysis regarding Internal Audit's (IA's) operations to assist IA leadership with achievement of the departmental objectives, identification of roadblocks to meeting objectives, and removal of barriers to completion. Perform data analysis and assist with preparation of data visualizations and materials for board/audit committee and executive reporting; track items for follow up; and perform external research for content as needed. Bring new ideas for consideration based on knowledge of Internal Audit's work. Manage/assist with the completion of projects supporting IA's strategic initiatives, particularly as related to reporting and quality assurance, as well as IA records management activities. Conduct independent quality assessments of audit activities to provide quality assurance, identify opportunities for improvement, reduce audit risk, and enhance IA's value delivery. Works with leadership team to ensure a consistent approach and that changes are made. Act as a technical resource to educate audit teams regarding IA reporting (e.g. departmental dashboards, external reporting, etc). Identify crew training opportunities and participate in providing direct coaching and development to the crew. Maintain effective networks with other reporting and data functions in Vanguard, as well as outside of Vanguard with professional organizations to stay abreast of industry trends and developments. Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. What it takes: Undergraduate degree in business discipline or equivalent combination of training and experience. Minimum of five years progressively responsible experience, including at least two years of experience managing projects. Minimum two years of data reporting/analysis experience Excel and Tableau experience strongly preferred Audit experience strongly preferred. Ability to work well under deadline pressure. Self–starter with the ability to drive change, generate creative approaches/solutions and the desire to shape a "best in class" global organization. Strong conceptual thinking aptitude. Excellent judgment and ability to analyze and resolve issues. Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, dynamic, and fast–paced environment with strong inherent project execution skills, including: prioritizing tasks, balancing workload between multiple projects, anticipating next steps, adapting to changing situations and project scope. Strong interpersonal skills, including: written and verbal communications, willingness to assist in areas outside of direct assignments when necessary, and commitment to self–improvement and completion of team objectives.
