Be the point of contact for all internal control related topics, including set up and maintain internal controls framework for APAC operations entities, ensure entities are in compliance with US GAAP, global, regional and local finance policies.

Description
§ Works directly with the APAC operations locations to ensure timely and accurately report financial figures consistent with US GAAP and financial policies.
§ Serves in the education of finance employees and other employees around current and new GAAP requirements
§ Monitor progress of new accounting standards, analyze requirements necessary, and actively participate in the implementation of such standards
§ Leads the entities SOX requirements including development and implementation of project plans
§ Provide assistance to the tax department with development and monitoring of tax reporting and cash taxes
§ Track internal audit and other findings for each location to ensure they are resolved appropriately and in a timely manner. Assist local personnel with audit remediation plans if needed.
§ Work as a partner with each entity in resolving issues and addressing concerns over internal controls.
§ Identify and eliminate non value added processes and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Perform other duties as needed.
Profile
§ Degree in Accounting, MBA preferred.
§ CPA preferred or possesses the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
§ 10 (manager)/7 (senior analyst) years of Auditing/Financial/Accounting experience.
§ Understanding of monthly closing process and reporting, US GAAP, inventory control, financial and operational processes, and corporate/compliance policies.
§ In-depth knowledge of internal controls reviews and implementing/improving internal controls.
§ Understanding of different cultures and various international government/legal requirements.
§ Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
