Staff Accountant II (Project Management)
POSITION INFORMATION: Accounting professional working directly within Financial Services, but also with a concentrated focus on Payroll Services and the Bursar's Office to aid in reconciling financial data. Helps trouble-shoot issues and develops processes to ensure accurate reporting and to gain efficiencies for reporting data in a timely manner.

POSITION INFORMATION: Accounting professional working directly within Financial Services, but also with a concentrated focus on Payroll Services and the Bursar's Office to aid in reconciling financial data. Helps trouble-shoot issues and develops processes to ensure accurate reporting and to gain efficiencies for reporting data in a timely manner.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
- Develop and maintain processes within Payroll Services that will ensure accurate and timely reconciliations of Payroll data such as withholdings and other employer expenses.
- Develop and maintain processes within the Bursar's Office that will ensure accurate financial information flowing to the general ledger from subsidiary systems.
- Assist in the daily loading/budget checking/validating and posting of journals from various subsidiary systems.
- Perform data analytics to help identify potential financial misstatements and/or omissions within the general ledger.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor'sDegree OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:
- 24 months of experience as a professional Accountant
- At least 18 hours of Accounting coursework
SKILLS:
- Advanced Excel skills with ability to build and manipulate spreadsheets
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong initiative to solve problems
- Ability to interpret policy
- Project management skills
- Understanding of basic accounting concepts and ability to apply those concepts using critical thinking.

- Elucian/Banner student system experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
