I am currently working with an SME Insurance company looking to hire a Financial Controller for six months as they go through a period of transformation. Reporting directly into the COO this will be a hands on role managing all aspects of accounting with the help of a small transactional team. This role will suit a qualified accountant with experience working in the insurance industry
  • Production and presentation to the Board of the statutory accounts and Board reports for the various UK entities, ensuring compliance with relevant finance legislation and accounting standards.
  • Timely production of monthly management information to agreed deadlines, including supporting narrative and analysis.
  • Production of budgets and reforecasts to agreed deadlines. Financial input into both corporate and client business plans.
  • Cash and treasury management for UK entities and clients. Responsible for overseeing cash flow forecasting and reporting to agreed timeframes. Oversee the performance of finance related client deliverables, ensuring appropriate records are maintained to allow the production and reporting of all regulatory returns, statutory accounts, management information and the management of liquidity and market risk.
  • Oversee tax compliance and planning
