MSA Data Analytics are looking to recruit a Senior Finance Analyst to drive effective financial reporting capability whilst providing data analysis & modelling skills to support wider decision making / strategy setting within a high performing business unit. The ideal candidate will have demonstratable experience operating as a financial analyst but will also possess competent data analysis and business intelligence skills, showcasing the ability to interrogate, analyse and derive insight from complex data sets.

Salary upto £50,000 + pension, healthcare, profit related pay.

Selection of responsibilities:
- Development, preparation, and review of financial reports for both internal stakeholders and external regulatory parties
- Performing detailed analysis to measure existing product profitability.
- Prepare and compile data available from both internal and external resources to be used in deal analysis and performance reporting
- Support the annual budget and reforecasting cycles
- Play a lead role in identifying and leading process improvement initiatives to benefit finance and business processes
- Support team members with data analytics tasks, ensuring dataset reporting & analysis yields relevant and compelling insight
- Interface regularly with Group wide finance functions
Selection of skills:
- Degree qualified in either finance & accountancy or an analytical based discipline (i.e., Mathematics, Statistics, Economics)
- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to analyse large volumes of data to identify trends.
- Proven track record of identifying and leading process improvement initiatives to benefit finance and finance reporting processes
- Proven experience developing ad hoc financial reports and routine reporting packs
- Strong business intelligence reporting skills using interrogation tools & and visualization tools -Power BI & SQL
- Exposure or working knowledge of planning analytics tool TM1
- Advanced MS Excel Performing detailed analysis of business unit profitability.
- Performing detailed analysis of overhead expenditure
- Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to work independently yet effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, able to work closely with colleagues & comfortable presenting.
- Accountancy qualification (qualified or part qualified) - desirable
