Management Accountant

The Role

The position of Management Accountant is a business-critical position for the company and will report straight into the Financial Controller. You will be responsible for providing the business will real time information and finance business partnering with key stakeholders to make commercial decisions. The business is happy to look at candidates that are at any stage of their professional accounting qualification, qualified by experience may be considered with exceptional practical relevance.

On Offer

The role of Management Accountant will offer a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 plus a competitive benefits package including study support for candidates that are actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA. The offices are based in Fife with parking available onsite.

You will be responsible for but not restricted to the following duties:

• Production of monthly reporting packing including ability to explain & challenge variances
• Maintaining accruals, prepayments, fixed asset register/depreciation schedules and posting journal entries
• Project accounting
• Maintaining and reviewing balance sheet reconciliation files
• Creation of inter-company recharge invoices
• Produce Gross profit/margin reports
• Produce WIP/inventory reports
• Preparation and maintenance of budget model files
• Preparation of historical data for analysis/trend purposes
• Support/attendance at budgeting review meetings
• Populating budget model files with data and updating balance sheet and cash flow budgets after final budget approval
• Preparation of business KPI reports
• Supporting of Project financial reviews
• Supporting of reviews on project work in progress
• Preparation of supporting backup and workings files
• Population of statutory accounts to review stage

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

• Qualified or Part qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAS/ICAEW or equivalent)
• Experience in sectors such engineering, manufacturing or FMCG would be advantageous
• Advanced user of Excel and ideally exposure to ERP systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
