JOB DESCRIPTION
- This position is based in Uganda or Swaziland, Africa.
- Report to Chief Financial Officer and Project Manager.
- Responsible in full spectrum of accounting, budgeting, taxation, treasury, management reporting function.
- Able to handle full set of accounts and complete monthly reporting reports to the Head Office.
- Assist in the preparation of treasury documents for submission to the
- bank. To ensure efficiency fund management and assist in handling
- bank matters.
- Prepare operating budgets, financial forecasts, monthly estimates and
- perform variance analysis.
- Enforce, develop and improve SOP, systems and processes to tighten
- the internal control on finances to maximize efficiency and minimize
- loss.
- Liaison with auditor, tax agent and relevant authorities regarding
- various tax issues.
- Work closely with Finance Department at Head Office in developing
- and implementing system/controls improvement relating to process
- workflow related to accounting reporting
- Handle any ad hoc assignments as and when required by the
- Management.
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor Degree/Professional
- Degree/Advance Diploma in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
- Good command of English and report writing skill.
- At least 3 years of working experience in the related field preferably
- project accounting is preferably for this position.
- Candidate with some knowledge and experience on construction
- industry will be added advantage.
- Technically strong in accounting standards and system, internal control
- and taxation.
- Mature, self-motivated and able to work independently with good
- interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to operate UBS and Quick books accounting system is an
- advantage
