Administer general accounting procedures to accurately report financial information. Control assigned GL and subsystem processes to maintain organization control objectives. Reconcile assigned monthly balance sheet accounts.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
Oversee master files in LX creation and maintenance of new vendors, customers, and products; confirming all controls processes have been followed.
Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual sales and use tax reports and payments.
Provide documentation to satisfy audit activities, supporting both internal and external audits.
Prepare cash and cover analysis process to ensure sufficient foreign currency in cash and call accounts.
Prepare weekly cash flow reporting.
Complete IFRS16 Lease Accounting analysis, reconciliation and journal entries.
Complete assigned monthly and annual Corporate UK reporting packages.
Complete intercompany reconciliation with Canadian business to ensure elimination upon consolidation.
Completion of annual insurance/risk questionnaires.
Perform periodic LX system security review.
Prepare journal entries, assigned account reconciliations and support monthly close process.
Assist with local and global accounting projects.
Comply with HR policies and procedures.
Comply with relevant employment laws.
Other duties as assigned.
A COMBINATION OF THE LISTED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Six to eight years accounting experience.
Strong PC, word processing and spreadsheet skills (AS400, MS Query, MS Excel, Word, Power Point).
Good communication skills.
AS400 knowledge and experience.
Experience in A/P, A/R, Inventory and Journal Entry.
Normal office and plant working environment.
Occasional travel will be required.
Occasional overtime will be required.
