A BRIEF OVERVIEW
The Payroll Specialist is assigned a specific geographical area of employees to process bi-weekly payrolls, respond to inquiries, reconcile payrolls and prepare reports.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
* Provide Payroll talks to New Hires explaining payroll processes and benefits offered by the Company.
* Research and resolve questions from managers and employees relative to the processing of payroll information such as: PTO, direct deposit, retro pay calculations, tax questions, etc.
* Perform comparison report after transmission of payroll, comparing current vs. prior payroll in an effort to audit discrepancies prior to the pay date.
* Responsible for obtaining the necessary approvals when required.
* Assist in the printing, sorting and distributing live checks for those without direct deposit
* Knowledge in: State Tax Calculation, ISR Tax Calculation, SUA/IDSE, Final Settlement Calculation.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
* High School Diploma. Bachelor's Degree in Accounts or similar field preferred.
* One-two (1-2) years' experience in Payroll.
* Excellent communication skills, time management skills, analytical skills, detail- oriented, decision- making skills, adaptable, proactive and a proven problem solver.
* MS Office proficiency required. Experience with Payroll tools such as: Oracle Payroll or similar. Kronos is a plus.
* Schedule: Mondays-Fridays, 8 a.m.-5p.m.
* Must be capable of working on-site/WAH.
