Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you will take the lead on numerous projects (up to 10 across Auckland at any one time) by overseeing controls effectiveness, working with project leads, advising on resourcing trends, maintaining cash flows and ensuring technical design reviews are kept updated. Also, the Project Accountant will create project invoices, capture accurate data and play a key role to deliver revenue forecasts. Also, you will frequently review current systems and processes to make improvements where necessary and liaise with every internal department with the ongoing attempt to upskill staff on best practice project management.


What you'll need to succeed
A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or similar is essential alongside 3+ years' experience in a finance, project management or project accounting role preferably in a large corporate. You will have a local exposure to accrual accounting methodology and a strong understanding of project financial systems. Softer skills include your positive energy, willingness to work in a team, clear communication and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
