Finance manager (expat preferred)

Initially, the position will focus on collaboration and facilitating the establishment of the Finance, HR,

Admin and IT functions, and thereafter the improvement and maintenance of the service delivery of

these functions with the support of the relevant leaders and employees.

The successful candidate will join the International Sourcing Office, which focuses on sourcing

and supply of products to the majority of the retailers in the group.

Description

Supporting the Sourcing Executive and GM in the establishment and execution of the overall Sourcing

Strategy

¡ñ Managing and overseeing the Finance, HR, Admin and IT functions which includes leading and

supervising employees as well as achieving overall department objectives with the assistance of the

Heads of Departments

¡ñ Identifying of potential financial risks

¡ñ Developing and maintaining governance frameworks and sound internal controls for the relevant

departments

¡ñ Overseeing the tax and other regulatory reporting of the organisation

¡ñ Reviewing and analysing of the division¡¯s performance

¡ñ Managing and controlling the annual financial plans/budgets

¡ñ Managing and overseeing the service providers and outsourced facilities function and relationships

Profile

5+ years experience at a senior level

Previous (Pan-Asian) international experience will be advantageous:

• South African living in China or a South African willing to relocate to Shanghai, China

• Local talent pool of candidates who have experience in working with South African counterparts

Ability to identify issues and areas for improvement through analysis

Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance

Strong commercial acumen and business understanding

Ability to manage both internal and external relationships

Team orientated, with strong leadership, relationship and interpersonal skills

Advanced negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent numeracy skills

Strong analytical and systems orientation

Job Offer
