We are looking to add a staff accountant to our growing team! The right person (you) is a strategic and smart communicator who is able to handle multiple projects with a high degree of confidence, independence, and sound judgment. Agency experience is a plus.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Review financial statements, expenses, and previous tax returns to identify the best strategy for organizing and monitoring
  • Present quarterly and yearly financial reports to management
  • Perform general bookkeeping and organize financial forms, documents, and receipts
  • Ensure all financial transactions within the company are accounted for and follow legal standards
  • Analyze annual budget recording transactions in need of follow–up documentation
  • Perform regular invoicing, collections of payments services rendered
  • Monthly bank and crest card account reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Gather appropriate materials regarding yearly tax tables, instructions, and forms such as 1099's and other required documentation
  • Work closely with clients and staff to obtain information regarding potential deductions, allowances or unique billing agreements, new accounts, contracts
  • Work with outside consultants on costing, profitability, and strategic initiatives
  • Collaborates with outside tax professionals for both personal and business tax issues and returns
  • Runs primary point of contact for an audit if needed
  • Reviews, prepares and processes payroll for staff and to third parties provided when applicable
  • Prepares perpetual 13–week cash flow model to ensure proper working capital
  • Analyze, improve, and document operations SOP's for growth plan

Qualifications & Skills

  • Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is strongly preferred, but not required
  • Professional experience working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Knowledge of state and federal tax form processes and how to accurately and properly prepare forms for each
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations with many clients
  • Knowledge of accounting processes and advanced mathematical skills
  • Experience consulting tax handbooks or other printed materials to determine the proper procedure for preparing challenging returns
  • Skilled using various accounting software and experience in troubleshooting common accounting program problems
  • Personal integrity when working with personal and sensitive financial information
  • Professional experience in financial forecasting and risk analysis
  • Strong understanding of quickbooks, excel and office suite of products
  • Experience with process, digital agencies and profitability of accounts
