Senior Property Accountant

The Senior Property Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
?? Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and budget vs actual statements.
?? Provide daily accounting support to on–site General Manager.
?? Maintains the general ledger and reconcile accounts.
?? Review and approve invoices.
?? Prepare journal entry for accrual and reclass.
?? Manages positive pay file upload and review exceptions.
?? Initiate bank transfer and wire.
?? Reconciles bank accounts weekly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
?? Prepare draw request and lender reporting.
?? Review and process corporate billback and reconcile inter–company balances.
?? Research and files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
?? Assist with annual budgets.
?? Assist with system integration and implementation.
?? Performs other related duties as assigned.
?? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
?? Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
?? Knowledge of general financial accounting.
?? Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
?? Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
Education and Experience:
?? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field, required.
?? At least three years of full month end closing experience required.
?? Multi–family/Student housing experience preferred.
?? Experience with Yardi or Entrata preferred.
?? Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
?? Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
