This role ensures compliance with requirements and regulations and serves as a resource for both internal and external customers. You'll use your experience, innovation and judgement to tackle a diverse range of assignments with minimal oversight.Your work will challenge you, and with our Core Values to guide you, you'll quickly learn and grow with us.Responsibilities/Expectations:Analyzes business transactions of moderate complexity and determines appropriate accounting treatment through research or collaboration with subject matter expertsPrepares, maintains or develops schedules, reports and analyses for internal/external customersPrepares journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statementsReconciles and/or analyzes ledger accounts and proposes adjusting entries, as requiredProvides information and explanation for audit requests from internal/external auditorsServes as resource to colleagues with less experience or a subject matter expertAccountable for participation in various accounting related special projectsPrepares explanations to management regarding account reconciliations and operational resultsIdentifies and recommends resolutions to issues that impact the accuracy and completeness of accounting data. and financial statements within a general area of responsibilityCommunicates and consults with internal and external stakeholdersOther duties as assignedEducation/Years of Experience:Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum four (4) years' experience in related energy industry accountingPreferred: CPA and minimum five (5) years' experience in accounting in the oil and gas industryOther Required Experience:Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityNeeds proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skillsGeneral Compensation Information:This role will be eligible for an Annual Incentive Program (AIP) payment. AIP payments are discretionary compensation based on business performance in relation to enterprise goals, the incentive opportunity for the role, and individual performance.
