Senior Accountant – North Atlanta

Accountants One is partnered with a large distribution company in North Atlanta in search of a Corporate Senior Accountant. This role will be responsible for general ledger activities, month–end close, financial reporting, as well as involvement with acquisitions, due diligence, and system integration support.

Job Duties:

• Conduct purchase accounting for M&A transactions and post–acquisition integration activities
• Responsible for month–end close, account reconciliation, financial reporting, consolidations, and internal and external audit support
• Ensure accurate general ledger activities in accordance with GAAP, including trade receivables, inventory, vendor rebates receivables, customer loyalty program payables, various clearing, reserve and accrual accounts, intercompany reconciliations, rent accruals, and intangible assets
• Assist with annual audits, preparation of supporting schedules, analyses, and audited financial statement documentation
• Assist with process improvement and efficiency initiatives around technology
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• BS in Accounting
• CPA or CPA track strongly preferred
• 4+ years of experience in accounting, blend of public accounting (audit) and corporate accounting preferred
• At least 2 years of experience with month–end close and reporting
• Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP required
