The role

We are on the lookout for a numerical whizz to support all things finance in our growing business. This is a great opportunity for the right individual to make a mark in a small but expanding team at a really exciting time for us. As a team, we focus on working to ensure our financials and systems are robust, consistently implementing new processes to improve and enhance our understanding and analyse our results. The team size means you will be able to gain a wide understanding of the finance function and have a real impact on how it develops.

Role Profile

You'll be responsible for preparing the monthly management accounts for Beauty Pie Ltd and Beauty Pie USA, as well as the original parent company and its subsidiary, with the support of our Junior Management Accountant and Finance Assistant

Preparing a monthly results pack that feeds into the board pack for the Head of Finance; transforming the numbers into a story, identifying and discussing analysis and trends.

Working with the wider Finance team to ensure the accounts payable function runs smoothly; invoices processed on time, valuable supplier relationships maintained, and cash flow monitored

We're looking for someone who can autonomously help drive the development of our growing team, improve processes to enhance our output, bring efficiencies and insight to our numbers. Whether that's in our department, cross departmental or within our ERP system Netsuite; we strive to continually improve our output and you'll have a key role in achieving this.

• Our US entity is growing rapidly, so you'll be involved in the increasing reporting and legislative requirements in this entity.
• Completion of the VAT Returns, and keeping up to date of any changes to VAT post Brexit
• Involvement alongside the Head of Finance and Head of Commercial Finance with the annual budgeting process and reforecasts
• Preparing budget vs actuals reports for a number of departments, and in doing so discussing costs and performance together.
• Owning the monthly payroll process and liaising with our dynamic new third-party payroll provider
• Becoming a key point of contact with our auditors, leading the preparation of the Annual Financial Statements and assisting as smooth and efficient an audit as possible.
• Support Head of Finance with ad hoc analysis and reporting

• The Candidate - ideally you will be:
• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 2 years + qualified experience
• Experience in industry, with e-commerce and or beauty background beneficial but not essential

Detail and accuracy driven

• Energy and ambition to make a difference to a business going through an exciting period of change and growth
• Experience of Netsuite beneficial.
• Solid grasp of Microsoft Excel and willing to learn more
• The stated experience and background is a guide and does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience, provided the requisite skills can be demonstrated.
