Senior Accountant
An exciting position has become available for a fulltime Senior Accountant to join a friendly team based in Gravesend. The successful candidate will earn £32,000-£36,000 pa. Hours of work will be 9am - 5.30pm As an experienced Accountant, your role will be to undertake accounts' tasks, answer client queries and assist the Partners and managers to provide a first-class service to clients.
Therefore, you will need to be experienced and proficient in accounts and tax work within an accountancy practice setting; able to work with minimal supervision; possess excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills; and be able to utilise technology to manage workload efficiently.

Senior Accountant

- Be self-disciplined and motivated
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills - ability to build rapport effectively and professionally with colleagues, clients, and external contacts
- Be able to prioritise and effectively manage a varied workload to ensure deadlines are met consistently
- Have excellent written communication skills - especially in composing letters to clients and HMRC
- Have excellent attention to detail
- Be able to learn new software applications quickly
- Have experience of using Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and MS Office
- Have more than 4 years' experience within an Accountancy Practice
- Possess ability to take initiative and think strategically
- Be ACCA/ICAEW qualified
Role Responsibilities
- Coordination, preparation, and submission of annual accounts for sole-traders, partnerships and companies
- Preparation and submission of CT600, SATR, VAT Returns
- Preparation of SATR to include Land and Property Pages, Foreign, Residence & Remittance and Capital Gains Summary Pages
- Computing Income Tax, CGT, NI and CIS liabilities and advising clients accordingly
- Resolving accounts and tax queries and administering general correspondence from clients, HMRC and other external organisations/individuals
- Preparing and issuing quotes for new accounts and tax related services
- Onboarding new clients and completing due diligence procedures
- Preparing and issuing invoices to clients
- Other duties commensurate with position
