The Finance Business Partners for ICPs are responsible for the management accounts function relating to all internal corporate affairs. This is a key role in ensuring the CCG reports a balanced position on an ICP footprint against its budgets and allocation and will be fully integrated through the development and maintenance of internal relationships with key senior level budget holders. The post will also be responsible for the overall coordination and management of the ICPs resource.

  • Provide strong business partnering support for the ICP. The focus will be to provide clear strategic financial leadership, delivering robust operational and financial management whilst improving cost effectiveness.
  • Support and challenge senior managers and budget holders through regular meetings to redesign services and processes to improve the quality of care and patient experience in a financially sustainable manner. Support prioritisation of investment to improve the population's health.
  • Ensure that all financial modelling is consistent and any interdependencies with other commissioning areas are communicated and planned for.
  • Manage CCG end of month and end of year activities such as accruals, cost centre reviews, ledger close, ledger maintenance and other month end queries.
  • Oversee the maintenance of, and monitor, ICP budgets reflecting in year service changes and agreed contract variations, investments and disinvestments.
  • Provide lead finance support to Annual Operating Plan.
  • Provision of updated monthly forecast outturns reflecting the views of budget holders gained through regular meetings.
  • Contribute to and help shape the local and regional working arrangements.
  • Operate effectively within the Finance Business Partnering ICP Team, sharing knowledge and implementing best practice.
  • The post holder will work under own initiative to achieve agreed objectives.
