We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our finance team for Suffolk and North East Essex. The successful applicant will:
The role requires working as part of a small team within a larger Finance and Business Intelligence function. Supporting and deputising for Finance Manager - Commissioning & Analytics, the successful candidate will have responsibility for the day to day management and financial integrity of the budgets within their responsibility. The role requires close working with operational, clinical and non-clinical and contractual colleagues, advising on financial issues and dealing with complex financial matters and enquiries.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an excellent level of numeracy and preferably be part qualified with a professional accountancy body. Previous experience within the NHS is desirable but not essential. The ability to work autonomously with attention to detail and to deadlines is essential. The role requires the ability to analyse trends and inform forecasts. To review Business Cases for investment and disinvestment and provide, quality management information for decision making.
The CCG operates a multidisciplinary matrix structure strongly focused on delivering several key areas of strategic change and improvement for the population of North East Essex. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to work within a team, managing a variety of demands and priorities and must be comfortable communicating financial information to non-financial professionals.

- Assist the Finance Manager - Commissioning and Analytics, in the delivery of monthly financial and activity performance reporting to the organisations and NHS England.
- Develop financial budgets, activity plans and forecasts, ensuring accuracy, integrity and timeliness of data.
- Ensure compliance with, and development of, effective financial/ business controls, processes and systems to assure the integrity of financial records.
- Provide monitoring and reporting on investment standards.
- Provide business case review and analysis to aid decision making
- Horizon scan and support long term financial modelling and planning.
- Be an integral part of the finance team working in a matrix way with contracts and operations to deliver the best service across our system.
